Your Privacy Rights: Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), California residents have the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of their personal information for targeted advertising purposes.
What Does "Sale" Mean Under CCPA?
The CCPA defines "sale" broadly to include sharing personal information with third parties for monetary or other valuable consideration. This may include:
- Sharing data with advertising networks for targeted advertising
- Sharing information with analytics providers
- Using tracking technologies that share data with third parties
UltCRM does not sell personal information in the traditional sense. However, our use of advertising pixels and analytics tools may constitute a "sale" or "sharing" under the CCPA's broad definitions.
How to Opt Out
Option 1: For Microsite Visitors
If you are visiting a business website powered by UltCRM:
- Look for the "Do Not Sell My Info" link in the website footer
- Click the link to open the privacy preferences modal
- Toggle the switch to opt out of data sharing for advertising
- Your preference will be saved and respected on that website
When you opt out:
- Meta (Facebook) Pixel will not load
- Google Analytics will not track your activity
- Server-side tracking events will not be sent to advertising platforms
- Your preference is stored locally and persists across visits
Option 2: Submit an Opt-Out Request
You can submit a formal opt-out request by emailing us:
- Email: privacy@ultcrm.com
- Subject: "CCPA Opt-Out Request"
- Include: Your name, email address, and a statement that you wish to opt out of the sale/sharing of your personal information
We will process your request within 15 business days as required by law.
Option 3: Global Privacy Control (GPC)
We honor Global Privacy Control signals. If your browser sends a GPC signal, we will automatically treat it as an opt-out request for targeted advertising.
To enable GPC:
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Enable "Tell websites not to sell or share my data"
- Brave: GPC is enabled by default
- DuckDuckGo: GPC is enabled by default
- Other browsers: Install a GPC-compatible extension
What Happens When You Opt Out
When you opt out of the sale/sharing of your personal information:
- We will stop sharing your data with advertising platforms for targeted advertising
- You may still see advertisements, but they will not be personalized based on your data
- Essential services and functionality will continue to work normally
- We may still collect information necessary to provide our services
Note: Opting out does not mean you will stop seeing ads entirely. You will still see contextual advertisements that are not based on your personal information or browsing history.
Your Other CCPA Rights
In addition to the right to opt out, California residents have the following rights:
- Right to Know: Request information about what personal information we collect, use, and disclose
- Right to Delete: Request deletion of your personal information
- Right to Correct: Request correction of inaccurate personal information
- Right to Non-Discrimination: Not receive discriminatory treatment for exercising your privacy rights
